2024 Drainage Improvement Projects

Concrete Drainage Pipes

The Township has planned four drainage improvement projects for this year, currently in the design phase. Below is a general description of each project, along with a PDF map displaying their locations, available at the bottom of this page.

For additional information or updated status on any of these projects, please contact the Stormwater Department by phone or email.

Burd, Richard, and Nissley Storm Sewers
This project aims to upgrade existing stormwater facilities, enhancing their effectiveness and mitigating future system failures. It encompasses approximately 2,050 linear feet of pipe, 28 inlets, and 2 endwalls. Initial funding for this project originates from a DCIB-G loan secured by the Township in 2023.

Lumber Street Storm Sewer
Similar to the previous project, this initiative focuses on upgrading existing stormwater facilities to prevent future system failures. It involves approximately 1,430 linear feet of pipe, 15 inlets, and 1 endwall. Funding for this project also comes from a DCIB-G loan obtained by the Township in 2023.

Lakeside Drive Storm Sewer
This project aims to enhance stormwater flow along Lakeside Drive, addressing historical drainage issues in the area. It includes adding 1,220 linear feet of new storm sewer pipe and constructing new inlets/outfall structure(s). Initial funding for this project was secured through a DCIB-G loan in 2023.

Richardson Road Stream Stabilization
The Township plans to stabilize and restore approximately 800 feet of stream embankment upstream of the box culvert on Richardson Road. This effort aims to reduce the risk of foundation and property damage caused by stream erosion. Additionally, it is one of the Township's proposed Pollution Reduction Projects, offering credits for future MS4 permit cycles. Funding for this project was acquired through a DCIB-G loan in 2023.
