Mosquitos are the curse of all warm weather fun, and root cause of skin irritation in the summer. Stormwater and mosquitos tend to go hand in hand, and it is important to recognize a mosquito breeding ground when you come across one. The best thing to do is to aware of them and eliminate them as soon as they are found. Prime areas can include but are not limited to: 

  • Permanent ponds, lakes, and streams
  • Portions of marshes
  • Swamps
  • Clogged ditches
  • Temporary pools and puddles
  • Tree holes
  • Old tires
  • Buckets
  • Toys
  • Potted plant trays and saucers
  • Plastic covers or tarpaulins
  • Bottle caps
