Tom Clark and his wife Lauren LeVan are life-long residents of Lower Swatara Township. He attended Middletown Area High School, and graduated from the Dauphin County Technical School in 1975.

Commissioner Clark is Chairman of the Police Committee, a Commissioner-liaison to the Olmsted Regional Recreation Board, and member of the Lower Swatara Township Police Pension Advisory Board.  He is employed by the Township of Derry, where he serves as the Director of Public Works. He is on the Board of Directors of the American Public Works Association (APWA), is the Chairman of the Dauphin County Planning Commission, serves on the Dauphin County Solid Waste Advisory Committee and is the Treasurer of the Capital Region Council of Governments. 

Tom and Lauren enjoy spending time with their children, motorcycle riding and working with their horses and other animals.  Tom's special interests include farmland preservation and transportation issues.

In summarizing his duties as Township Commissioner, Tom stated "It is the responsibility of all elected officials to maintain the quality of life for the residents in the community while balancing the expected level of service with available funding limits."
